Vanrail Supplies (Pty) Ltd, is a manufacturer and supplier of engineering products and services exclusively to the rolling stock industry. We supply products to many railroads on the African continent and some even beyond our continent. The range of products we manufacture include; • Air, vacuum and steam hose assemblies, • Air brake equipment (including end cocks, dirt collectors, brake cylinders, tee-pieces, pressure taps) • Cast, machined and fabricated wagon and coach components. • Steel pipe assemblies with either threaded or flanged ends and all associated fittings • Repairs and services to air and vacuum brake equipment Our extensive network of suppliers allows us to offer our customers an even wider range of manufactured rolling stock products. Including, castings, forgings, pressings, laser and profile cut materials, welded and fabricated products, bent pipe, seals, gaskets and fasteners. We can, therefore, offer the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions for your rolling stock product needs. We are the exclusive Southern African representative for Graham-White Manufacturing Co, which is part of the WABTEC Corporation. This means that we are able to supply our customers in Southern Africa products to filter, dry and drain the locomotive compressed air system as well as, valves to control sanding, horns, pantographs and other auxiliary pneumatic systems on locomotives. Graham-White is the global technology leader in the drying of compressed air for locomotives and rail transit vehicles. Whilst their products can be found operating in the harshest of environments on railroads globally, this same air dryer is installed on Transnet’s newest locomotives. Such as, the Classes 10E1, 15E, 19E, 43D, 44D and 45D. The units on the Class 44D and 45D locomotive were assembled by Vanrail at our Centurion factory and a large number of their internal machined parts were produced at our Montagu factory.
