The VDMA representative office in São Paulo, Brazil, has been in existence since 2013. It is active in various areas of mechanical and plant engineering, contributing to the promotion of economic relations between Brazil and Germany. The VDMA is the most important voice of the mechanical and plant engineering industry in Europe. With 3,600 predominantly medium-sized member companies in the capital goods industry, the VDMA is the largest industrial association in Europe and the most important network organisation in the sector. In Brazil, too, the VDMA's aim is to introduce the positions of its member companies into the economic policy debate and to make a constructive contribution to the further development of the mechanical and plant engineering industry.
