Vegenov

Established in 1989, Vegenov is an applied research center offering a full range of customized R&D services in plant sector and in interaction with plant companies (breeders, seed companies, biosolutions manufacturers (biocontrol/biostimulants), growers and distributors, etc.). Our main skills are- plant breeding support and traceability: marker-assisted selection, in vitro culture techniques (doubled haploid plant production, embryo rescue, micropropagation…), disease resistance screening, interspecific and intraspecific hybridization (study of pollen quality; crosses; characterization of the progeny), barcoding, etc- crop protection and nutrition: evaluation of the efficacy of biosolutions (biocontrol products/biostimulants); understanding their mode of action (plant defense regulation analysis with qPFD ®…) detection and monitoring of pathogenic or beneficial microorganisms- assessment of the sensory and nutritional quality of products, with a specific expertise on fresh plant products,( testing varieties, agronomic practices and post-harvest operations for example).
