Vehicle Systems Integration (VSI) is a Maryland-based small business providing leading edge engineering solutions for government agencies and commercial companies. VSI specializes in alternate renewable energy systems (particularly fuel cells and solar arrays) and vehicle controls design, testing, and implementation. VSI’s engineers have a strong background in spacecraft power systems and robotics, flight dynamics and control, and hybrid electric / fuel cell vehicles. Recent VSI projects include designing the electronics and control system for fuel cell Tactical Quiet Generator systems for the U.S. Army using reformed JP-8 or diesel fuel. VSI also provided the power conversion and distribution systems, the operational control strategy, and the data acquisition and safety systems for another U.S. Army project, the Ballard Fuel Cell Hybrid power plant for a class 2 forklift.
