Vel Space

VEL Space is a Costa Rican aerospace startup with the mission of democratizing access to space in Latin America. Through the development of the Chirripó Program, we are building the foundation to launch rockets and offer payload launch services at affordable costs in the region. Our multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists and strategists works on propulsion, avionics, recovery and structural design technologies with the goal of developing reusable and efficient systems. We seek to be pioneers in the aerospace industry in Latin America and generate an innovation ecosystem that promotes the technological and economic development of the region.
