Venor Capital Management LP ("Venor"), based in New York, New York, was founded in 2005 by the firm's Co-Chief Investment Officers, Michael Wartell and Jeffrey Bersh. The senior investment team has worked together for over 14 years, and – through their long, shared history – has developed a regimented, patient and collaborative investment process and culture. The firm uses a fundamental approach to source and execute on event-driven opportunities across the capital structure. We seek to deliver equity-like returns with credit-like downside protection through rigorous analysis, security selection, incessant scrutiny, dynamic trading, and exposure management. We manage a concentrated portfolio of our highest conviction ideas, and act as a partner and resource for market color to our investors. We predominantly invest in North America, Western Europe and countries with a proven legal framework for corporate action. The firm offers co-investment opportunities to investors as they emerge, and seeks to offer tailored solutions.
