Verenigde Scheepswerf Heusden

The Verenigde Scheepswerf Heusden (VSH) was founded in February 2007 to support the IHC Merwede yards due to the extraordinary need for section building. Because of the available slibways (2x) at VSH, IHC Merwede yards also started outsourcing ship hulls to VSH. VSH has experience and technical knowledge to install components in the ship structures. Since its establishment, the VSH has built numerous sections and blocks, pontoons for cutter suction dredgers and launched three medium-sized trailing suction hopper dredgers. All sections, pontoons and hulls are fitted with pre-outfit (pipelines, cable cars and various components) and painted. VSH builds for IHC Merwede but also for third parties. VSH is located at the former shipyard area of Verolme Shipyard Heusden and the yard has a history over 100 years of shipbuilding. Many former Verolme employees are now working within the Verenigde Scheepswerf Heusden. The yard employees have a wide knowledge in the field of shipbuilding.
