Verrazzano Capital

Verrazzano is a boutique European equity specialist managing long only and long short strategies in offshore and UCITS structures. Independently owned, the firm was established in 2011 by Guillaume Rambourg and partners, and is committed to delivering superior long term performance to its clients. The firm has a strong legacy with its genesis in the European large cap team at Gartmore Investment Management (“Gartmore”) where Guillaume was employed from 1995-2010, co-managing both long only funds and equity long short portfolios. The current investment process was honed over a 15 year period and further enhanced and augmented here at Verrazzano. The strategies that Verrazzano is running are akin to those that Guillaume Rambourg successfully co-managed during his time at Gartmore. Verrazzano launched two hedge fund strategies, ‘Opportunities’ and ‘Focus’, in March 2012. The long only strategy Verrazzano Advantage European (“Advantage”) launched in December 2013, and Verrazzano European Long Short (“VELS”), a UCITS fund closely following the strategy employed by Opportunities, launched at the end of Q1 2014. In December 2016, the Verrazzano Concentrated Equity Europe Fund launched on the firm’s UCITS platform and is managed by a former Exane partner, Youssef Benhaddouch. Verrazzano operates within a best-in-class operational and risk management framework employing 19 people across offices in Paris and London. As of 28 February, 2017 the firm manages $900m in assets on behalf of a diversified investor base.
