Meet our Founder My name is Brendan, and I am proud to help you turn your time spent at home into true quality time. Before becoming a digital nomad, I had a condo in Florida with a wood-burning fireplace. When I bought the condo, I assumed I would never use the fireplace due to the hot weather. But when my future wife moved in, we began having fires every night during the winter months. That fireplace was the centerpiece to many movie nights on the couch, dinner parties with friends, and Christmases with my family. The problem was we lived in a condo complex and my neighbors didn’t take too kindly to the sound of chopping wood every night. So any time we wanted a fire, I would have to walk four blocks to the grocery store, buy two large bags of wood, carry those logs home four blocks, then up three flights of stairs. And don’t get me started on the next day sweeping and ash cleaning. This seemed like a ton of hassle for an evening fire. Wood was getting expensive and my back wasn’t enjoying the journey either. I started looking for electric fireplaces, but when I called a couple of businesses for information, I couldn’t get a single person on the phone. I left messages and I didn’t receive a single call back. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands.
