Veteran Surf Alliance

Our Mission: Veteran Surf Alliance is a Santa Cruz, California, community-based nonprofit organization that teaches, coaches, and mentors Veterans to surf and be respected members of their communities. Our Vision: Connecting veterans to Communities. It starts in the water through the Santa Cruz surfing community, and continues out of the water as our members find the same type of camaraderie they had while serving in the military. Our Philosophy: To help Veterans meet their greatest challenges in their darkest of times by experiencing the joy of surfing with the hopes that they may have their lives changed forever. To put it simply, Surfing Saves Lives! Strategy: Our dynamic and passionate network of veterans is dedicated to helping Veterans, LEO, Fire, EMS, Goldstar Families, and their dependants, connect with the local Santa Cruz communities in which they live by providing a support system where they will gain access to our four core services, Health and Wellness, Surf Coaching/Ocean Therapy, Community Support and Veteran Outreach. With our resources and guidance we help to develop a healthy lifestyle through surfing and find success transitioning after the military and becoming better members in the Santa Cruz Community.
