Veterans' Growth

Veterans’ Growth helps those dealing with mental health issues, providing treatment and support using social and therapeutic horticulture. Our approach involves working with plants and in the outdoors to improve physical and mental health, and to provide a place for social interactions. The physical and mental health benefits of horticulture have been widely reported. Participants gain confidence, knowledge and experience and some will go on to find work experience and employment within the industry. We are committed to supporting every veteran in the UK who wants to attend and/or is unable to access help through other channels. Winner of the Armed Forces Network Charity of the Year 2021 Finalist in the 2021 Soldering On Awards, in the Healthcare and Rehabilitation Category. Nominated and selected as one of 3 finalist out of 275 nominations individuals, partnerships or organisations.
