VHC Medical Brigade was founded in after Hurricane Mitch devastated much of Central America, and Dr. Barry Byer mobilized his colleagues at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia, to help. With the simple vision of a healthier Honduras, VHC Medical Brigade works to bring transformative health and development to the most vulnerable in Honduras. With strong relationships in the United States and Honduras, VHC Medical Brigade empowers communities to solve their challenges, provides life-changing surgeries and health technology solutions, and invests in building a strong Honduran medical system.
