Established in 1933 by Frederick Victoria, Frederick P. Victoria & Son, Inc,(dba F.P. Victoria & Son) is known for dealing in unusual 18th century Western European Decorative Arts, especially those from England and France, and for creating equally unusual and ambitious custom bespoke furniture for its clients. Significant projects Frederick Victoria worked on include the design and decoration of the Marcus Family’s first store, The Fashion, which eventually evolved into Nieman Marcus of today, as well as the River Oaks Country Club and the Petroleum Club. Notable clients over the years include names like Windsor, Macy, Field, Baldwin, Duke, Stacey, Kelly, Astor, Gimble, Perrault, Whitney, Tree, Pahlman, Gibbons, Taylor, Hadley, Porter, Berlin, Hampton, and Kahane among others. Today, while the firm continues to deal in unusual European antiques as well as design bespoke furniture for its clients, its has added two other aspects to its services. In 2009, F.P. Victoria & son introduced its own line of its designs to the marketplace. This line offers luxury home furnishings with a rich design aesthetic to a broader range of client than pieces which are only "made to order." F.P. Victoria & Son also has collected and cataloged some of its best designs from over 70years into the "Design Library." The Library is offered as a resource to the trade for design inspiration.
