A consultative network that will investigate the Victorian Information Technology & Telecommunications sector and advise Industry and Government stakeholders regarding training, vocational outcomes and workforce development. The Victorian TAFE ICT Network has the following functions- Provide consultation around the development and implementation of ICT Training Packages - Facilitate moderation and validation and share ideas relating to training & assessment resources - Liaise with ICT teachers in all matters relating to the teaching of ICT sector Qualifications and skill sets in Victoria - Review historical evidence and emerging trends with respect to- Training demand - Employment opportunities - Career advancement - Workforce Development - New technology - Industry and Government - Respond to government policy in relation to training and assessment in the ICT sector - Inform the relevant stakeholders on matters relating to training and assessment initiatives/strategies- Consider and collaborate on innovative projects - Maintaining currency and relevance to the ICT Industry and workforce development
