Viennese Opera Ball

The Viennese Opera Ball celebrates the cultural and economic relationships between Austria and America, connecting two continents, two cities and two centuries in one glamorous night. It was founded by Austrians immigrating to the United States more than 62 years ago, and is a tribute to both their former home town Vienna and their new host city, New York. Considered the most prestigious Viennese ball outside of Vienna, this annual white tie charity gala brings you performances by opera singers and ballet dancers, a horse-drawn carriage on Waldorf Astoria’s fourth-floor Grand Ballroom, the West Point color guard, a ball orchestra from Vienna and everything you would expect from a glittering Viennese ball night. Each year, the Viennese Opera Ball supports charitable projects connected to the communities in New York and Vienna. The 63rd Viennese Opera Ball will be held on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at the newly reopened Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.
