Vilaasita is a luxury furniture and home décor brand conceived with a vision to make beautifully designed and handcrafted products accessible to a larger audience. Innovatively combining age-old technique with contemporary style, our designs are a celebration of all things beautiful. We believe in creating a curated collection of beautiful and functional designs rather than unimpressive run-of-the mill products. Our artisans, some of them third generation furniture makers transform our designs and create eternal pieces that add a touch of elegance to any space. Time-tested crafting techniques and strict quality control ensures that we bring you the best products available in the market. Vilaasita is co-founded by Sayali Agaskar and Manasi Agaskar with varied experience in the field of design, interiors, strategy consulting and technology. We also have on board, advisors with experience in Interior design, furniture manufacturing and logistics. Our passion for aesthetics, quality craftsmanship and sustainable products fuels everything we do at Vilaasita. The inspiration for the brand comes from the huge gap we saw in the Indian & International market. It’s a challenge to find furniture that is artistically crafted and fairly priced. This, especially when our craftsman and artisans are losing their jobs to low quality, factory made products that although cheap lasts best for 1-2 years. In addition to our in-house collection of furniture, our platform also partners with artisans and socially conscious brands to curate rare and beautiful products, handcrafted in developing communities across India. The effort is also to forge a personal connection between the buyer and the maker by conveying the story of the artisan who made it. Our partners empower these communities by creating jobs and providing training. To take this further, we are also giving back 1% to the Artisan Community, and providing them with financial coaching and business mentorships.
