The Virtual Intellectual Property Organization, Inc.(VIPO), develops content protection tools and provides access to legal enforcement mechanisms for intellectual property rights as well as commericalization strategies for graphic artists and designers, filmmakers, musicians, programmers, and digital content owners. VIPO has advised over 600 content creators in the Second life virtual world, offers legislative opinions to the Copyright Office and management services in procedures before the USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the American Arbitration Association. VIPO is a strong supporter and advocate of net neutrality, sovereign identity, and online dispute resolution. Besides representing clients in offline mediation and arbitration procedures, VIPO is currently developing an online dispute resolution system designed to support content creators in protection of virtual creations, and enforcement of digital property and publicity rights.
