Virtus Sport

Virtus is a not-for-profit organisation supporting athletes with an intellectual impairment to compete at the highest levels, as well as in grass roots sport. We have around 80 member organisations supporting more than athletes and are a member of the International Paralympic Committee. Virtus manages a worldwide programme of regional and world championship competition and the Virtus Global Games - the worlds largest event for elite athletes with an intellectual impairment. We also manage the eligibility process for athletes, host training and educational workshops and work with governments, sports departments, clubs and coaches to change attitudes and break down barriers.
