At Vision Development Center, our services are unique, focusing on developmental optometry and vision therapy. Dr. Joan Bauernfiend, a board-certified developmental optometrist, conducts specialized testing to asses eye alignment, tracking/scanning, and visual information processing. Vision therapy is a subspecialty of optometry and is prescribed to develop and fully integrate visual skills necessary for efficient reading, depth perception, coordination, and spatial awareness. Our vision therapists are highly trained by Dr. Bauernfiend and work one one-on-one with our patients of all ages to achieve their full potential.
