Visit Derry

Visit Derry is a Destination Marketing Organisation (DMO) with Visitor Servicing responsibilities and adopts a proactive, visitor-focussed approach to tourism growth within the destination, which balances and integrates the interests of visitors, industry (service providers) and the local population (community). Visit Derry is a membership organisation (currently 280 tourism providers) open to any business in the region who wishes to support our efforts to attract more visitors to the destination and see tourism as a partnership approach. Visit Derry have a service level agreement with DCSDC to deliver two key roles - Destination Marketing and Visitor Servicing (including management of the city's Visitor Information Centre, currently residing at 44 Foyle Street – due to re-locate to Waterloo Place in Spring 2020) and also plays a key role in Industry Engagement and Advocacy & Influence for the tourism sector. Visit Derry's mission is “to attract more visitors to the destination and ensure that they enjoy an experience that is legendary". Our vision is that the city and region will be a destination and visitor experience that is exceptional. This means working with others to make the destination: A recognised international tourism destination within the island of Ireland; A confident, vibrant, forward looking city and district that provides the best of all worlds, offering city, coastal and countryside experiences.
