Vistaraku is the manifestation of our love for nature and humanity. At Vistaraku, we create sustainable alternatives to to plastic and promote a sustainable lifestyle while empowering rural women. Our product: Biodegradable leaf plates and bowls made from leaves of Palash tree (scientific name: Butea monosperma). These leaves are known for their anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-diabetic, diuretic, analgesic, anti-tumour and astringent properties, which makes these plates not only a sustainable option but also a super healthy one! Our leaf plates and bowls are made by the women of Siddipet in the village of Thimmareddypalli which lies in the outskirts of Hyderabad, India. The process involves collecting leaves, stitching them and heat pressing them along with food grade cardboard to provide stiffness and strength.
