About us We Innovate: Crop: We develop and improve cereals through modern selection techniques in our breeding platforms. Traits: We identify traits of interest in crops and provide germplasm enabling to transfer those traits to other cereal species. Our expertise: Breeding: We have a wide in-house expertise in crop breeding technology and collaborate with numerous academic partners around the globe. Market development: We produce and market specialty crops with advanced agronomic, technological, nutritional, and sensory attributes, that contribute positively to the world. Our reach: Value-Chain: We have an excellent understanding of a cereal value-chain as we operate with a multi-licensing model from seed to food. Partners worldwide: We operate in different geographies with local experts in the fields of breeding, farming, milling, malting and baking, allowing us to adapt our products to the particularities of the market. 🤝Business model Vivagran holds worldwide exclusive licenses from IAS-CSIC on Tritordeum and DDRR. Vivagran grants licenses to third parties (licensees) to acquire production and commercialization rights over the protected varieties. Vivagran also contracts seed and grain production to supply markets where no licensees are active. Production and commercialization are managed under a "closed-loop" system. Prices are defined by Vivagran and its licensees. The control over the protected varieties allows to maintain the price positioning over time. All actors of the value-chain benefit from it. The proprietary germplasm allows to concede exclusive production and commercialization rights to partners.
