As your Grant Consultant I will-Learn about your organization, mission, programs, and the community you serve-Provide technical assistance regarding program planning and development-Translate your vision into a persuasive and powerful proposal-Research grant-making organizations to strategically identify potential funding sources. I will take into consideration foundations’ grant cycles and giving histories, and many other variables that determine if a funder is a good fit for you-Do more than just fill in the blanks of the grant request. I will develop individualized proposals according to each funder’s preferences while also conveying the significance and impact of your mission-Use storytelling to humanize your service population so funders understand your needs from your community’s perspective-Put myself in the funder’s shoes-Assess the budget of your project/program and make recommendations to better present it to potential funders. As your editor, I will-Edit and re-write documents for non-native English speakers to ensure clarity, tone, grammar, word choice, and quality communication-Work closely with clients to understand their audience and the message they want to convey -Consistently complete projects ahead of schedule.
