VOICES ON CANVAS A Nonprofit Organization Sponsoring: A FREE Summer Art Camp Public Youth Art Competition Art Exhibit & an Annual Youth Art Festival For Urban Denver and Surrounding Communities Supporters of the Child / Youth Friendly City Initiative OUR MISSION “Voices on Canvas” furnishes youth with the dais of essential communication and civic skills, fostering expressive dialogue through the medium of art. OUR VISION Voices On Canvas aspires to create a community of young critical thinkers facilitating social community activist that build on the lessons of the past, fostering responsible stewards of the built environment of the future. PROJECT OVERVIEW Voices On Canvas was inspired by the worldwide United Nations Mission of the Rights of the Child and Denver, Colorado's Child/Youth Friendly City Imitative. VOC was motivated to engage youth and adults in dialog through a free art campaign creating their vision in an artist fashion of how they perceive their 'dream' community as a child and youth friendly place to be.
