Vrittanta Association

Vrittanta, the Undergraduate Student Association of the Department of International Studies, History, and Political Science, Christ (Deemed to be) University, is dedicated to enriching student life by offering a comprehensive range of extracurricular activities and platforms for students to engage with their peers and explore interests beyond the academic realm. The association features various clubs, each focusing on specific areas of interest. These include the Dance Club, Music Club, Kayal—the Art Club, Literary Club, Electoral Literacy Club, Film Club, Debate and MUN Club, and Quiz Club. Each club is committed to its core discipline, providing students with opportunities to develop skills, pursue passions, and participate in a vibrant community of like-minded peers. Throughout the year, these clubs organize a variety of minor events, including activities, collaborations, and workshops, all designed to hone students' skills and keep them engaged. In addition to the clubs, Vrittanta also includes several committees: Logistics, Media, Sports, Stage and Events, Documentation, and Theatre. These committees play a crucial role in the behind-the-scenes planning and execution of events. They offer students hands-on experience in organizing and managing events, ensuring a dynamic and well-rounded college experience. The committees regularly conduct workshops and collaborative projects, further enhancing the practical skills of students and fostering an environment conducive for learning and acquiring new knowledge. Vrittanta also takes pride in organizing two major flagship events. Carpe Diem, held annually for first-year students, provides a platform for them to showcase their talents and integrate into the department's vibrant community.
