THE VUGA PRESS The Vuga Press was found by the BETHEL mission from Germany in 1912 after the need to establish the same had risen. Formerly situated at Vuga about 11kms from Soni the present location of the Press. In the past, there were Expatriates working in the factory who were mostly from Germany. To day all the works are done by local citizens, who counts to 17 employees. The Vuga Press is owned full by ELCT-NED, P.O.BOX 10, Lushoto-Tanzania Before the current reform, the Unit was being managed as a service unit of NED, However the outlook now is to change in to an independent income-generating Unit which have the potential for contributing into the Diocesan Administrative Budget. LOCATION The Vuga Press, is located within the Usambara Mountains about 400 kms away from our City Dar es salaam, about 17kms either way from Mombo to Lushoto beside the main road joining the two towns.
