Vulture Productions

Vulture Productions is an independent production & design platform founded by Actor/Director Jeremeo Le Cordeur. Through the work of Le Cordeur, the platform has achieved great successes in the Western Cape theatre industry for encouraging the creation of original South African works amongst directors, theatre-makers, performers, scriptwriters and other creative artists. Since founded in 2010, we have made a name for ourselves for courageously breaking away from the status quo by offering edgy, thought-provoking productions, engaging with a diverse audience, through a variety of innovative and educational theatrical experiences. In essence, we aim to inspire artists to produce work with whatever resources they have at their disposal. In this, Vulture Productions undertakes to empower these arts practitioners, enabling them to be “vultures". We strive to be a platform that will encourage the creation of authentic South African works and to provide support to emerging directors, theatre-makers, performers, scriptwriters and other creative artists. We aim to be a fully fledged theatre and television production house, and we hope to achieve this by engaging with the principal stakeholders within the arts and culture sector, creating sustainable jobs and development opportunities for creative arts professionals and building networks within the theatre and television industries.
