The mission of VUZE Medical is to create an improved Standard of Care for the “neglected majority” among the millions of spinal stabilizations performed annually. That majority remains assisted only by 2D X-Ray and gravitates towards lower-cost settings. The VUZE System is a software-based antithesis to all known surgical navigation systems. All employ elaborate hardware (camera arrays, on-tool markers, on-body references, often an in-OR CT). All necessitate modified surgical tools and cumbersome preparations. In contrast, VUZE requires only a standard 2D X-Ray and an off-the-shelf PC, and works with unmodified surgical tools.
