W.Byers Ltd is a retail company that started in 2010 selling fashion footwear on eBay from a spare room in Matlock, UK. After moving the business into a small storage unit in Leicester, the business expanded to 2 people in 2013 and diversified into new marketplaces including amazon, Play.com and ASOS Marketplace. The business moved to Carlisle in 2015 and trialed creating our own-branded products. This fueled further expansion and we now have over one hundred own-brand products across four brands and generate more than orders per month. We design and develop our products in-house and arrange production with suppliers in China, Taiwan and Italy. Our most successful brand is Lakeland Active. Lakeland Active products are mostly footwear but also include clothing and accessories. Lakeland Active products all take their names from places in Cumbria.
