Waitaha Primary Health works closely with General Practices and other community based health providers to deliver exceptional health outcomes for the people in our region, including those with the greatest need. You, your whānau and our community are at the heart of everything we do. Our services stretch from Cheviot in the north, down to Tinwald in the south, west to Hanmer Springs, and east to Akaroa. We are the Canterbury Primary Health Organisation with the longest history and greatest knowledge of rural primary health care and the needs of rural communities. We carry this grassroots knowledge of New Zealand through to our work with urban General Practices and community services and work in a way that Kiwis are renowned for. We build close relationships, talk things through and then get things done. Waitaha Primary Health has a strong community focus, and delivers some of Canterbury’s most important community health services. We can connect you with General Practitioners (doctors), Practice Nurses, other health professionals and a wide range of services. Our team works hard to meet the specific health needs of our culturally diverse communities.
