Waitaki Boys' High School

Waitaki Boys' High School is a State Funded Boys' Secondary School based out of Oamaru, New Zealand, with approx. 400 Students. The “all-round Waitakian” strives to be his best, academically, culturally, socially, in sport, and in character development. Academically, a Waitakian sets realistic goals and works towards achieving the highest possible level of attainment in NCEA. He has independent work habits, and develops transferable learning skills. Culturally, a Waitakian participates in at least one cultural activity each year. He is confident and enthusiastic in performance, and is reliable and committed to practice. Socially, a Waitakian has a wide range of healthy friendships, respects the rights of others, and is tolerant of difference. He is well-groomed, articulate, confident, and personable. In sport, a Waitakian participates in at least one team sport or sporting activity each year, plays fair, and respects the competition. He is reliable, committed to both practice and competition, and shows good team spirit. In Character Development, a Waitakian demonstrates the values of respect, motivation, resilience, integrity, and ethical behaviour.
