Walking The Walk

I recently completed my first adventure for Walking the Walk - a 900km unassisted walk across India from Bekal, on India’s west coast, to the Bay of Bengal along the east coast. Warding off fatigue, injury, dehydration and encounters with wild animals I reached my final destination in 40 days pulling only a cart along with my possessions. I used the physical and emotional challenges of the walk to demonstrate a commitment to the significant challenge mental illness poses to young Australians. So why an adventure of this magnitude? I believe in the power of travel. Real Travel. I believe travel is a tool that every person can use to take control of their mental health. I believe it gives you the perspective needed to find strength in your individuality and the confidence to realise anything is possible. My goal is to raise to support beyondblue and raise awareness for mental health. Walking the Walk intends to provide people the platform- to provide a voice - to embrace their individuality - to get out of their comfort zone - to be adventurous - to harness the power of travel - to dare to dream
