Wamina is a Mozambican social enterprise improving menstrual health through dignified, affordable and reusable menstrual pads — produced with international standards and distributed nationwide. Since 2016, we’ve delivered over reusable pads to girls and women through NGOs, UN agencies, private companies and community organisations. Our work sits at the intersection of health, education, and women’s empowerment — ensuring that no girl misses school, work or daily life because of her period. We specialise in bulk procurement for: • Humanitarian response • SRH and GBV programmes • School health initiatives • Corporate CSR and ESG commitments • Community empowerment projects in rural and urban settings Our pads are: Long-lasting (up to 5 years) Highly absorbent and reusable Cost-effective for large-scale programmes Preferred by field teams for durability and low logistics burden Beyond products, Wamina delivers menstrual health education, supporting teachers, community facilitators and parents with clear, evidence-based content tailored to Mozambican realities. In 2025, Wamina expanded into innovation and youth empowerment, launching Nina — a WhatsApp-based sexual health companion for teens — ensuring young people have safe, accurate and anonymous access to information.
