Wanawa Foundation

Wanawa is a charity organisation based in Holland. The name Wanawa stands for Wanawake na Watoto, which means ‘Women and Children’ in the Kiswahili language. Wanawa supports locally based organisations in Kenya that work toward improving the lives of women and children. The primary program areas that Wanawa supports are Health care, Poverty eradication and Education, because improving the livelihoods of women and children begins with access to these essential services. Wanawa works toward this goal by providing various kinds of support to locally based organizations. We offer financial assistance to such organizations for general program support, and also offer special grants to fund specific projects.
