Waratah Special Developmental School

Waratah SDS provides an inclusion program for students aged 5 to 11 years at Brunswick South West Primary School, located in South Daly Street, Brunswick West. At the Satellite our focus is on participation, communication, wellbeing and positive learning outcomes. Students are busy joining in many of the mainstream classes throughout the school including literacy, maths, music and dance, physical education and art. Involvement such as this provides our students with opportunities to extend their knowledge and skills in a range of curriculum areas as well as enhancing their communication and social capacity. The students attending the satellite also receive specialist educational and therapy programs to cater for a wide variety of their educational needs. In the playground it is great to see everyone joining in, having fun and playing together. With such positive social experiences our students grow in confidence and self-esteem and are very excited to come to school each day.
