History Tom Sylvester founded Warsaw Wine & Spirits in 2012. After graduating with a degree in computer science and working several years in the software development field, opening a wine and liquor store may seem a little out of the ordinary. On the surface it is, but this was not Tom's first experience with the wine and liquor industry. Tom's father owns Commodore Wine & Spirits in Perry, NY, where Tom worked during college breaks. During this time, Tom learned a lot about various types of wine and liquor, as well as what local residents wanted in a neighborhood liquor store. Among the top requests were local New York State wines, a friendly/knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices. Tom enjoyed the business so much that he began researching how he could bring these requests to local residents, resulting in Warsaw Wine & Spirits. How to Get the Full Experience We believe that our service to our customers does not start when a customer enters the store and does not end when a customer leaves. We want to educate our customers on the various types of wine and spirits, which ones are best suited for different events and meals and bring them the newest and most popular selection.
