WAC also evaluates the Wasatch portfolio to determine the necessity and timing of property dispositions. Properties that the company targets have typically lost value due to inadequate management or management systems; underfunded capital maintenance and repair; over financing; or inadequately structured financing. When Wasatch management identifies these elements in a property that is within a two-hour flight time of Salt Lake City, Utah, they review these as potential investment opportunities.
