Waste Works Yard

Waste Works Yard is a Norwegian environmental edutainment platform for early learning. It was founded by Anna Totth-Szamosi who is an accomplished Hungarian artist and published children's author. Today she resides in Norway with her family. The program blends digital and physical experiences into a playful universe where children explore - through storytelling and arts and craft - the world of waste management and recycling for the protection of the planet. Waste Works Yards is funded and supported by Innovation Norway, Nordland Fylkeskommune, Inkubator Salten and a group of businesses in Bodø. There is a core team working with Anna with experienced members from International Publishing and Corporate. The program has been tested to a great success in kindergartens and will be rolled out in 200 Norwegian kindergartens in the fall of 2020. The program was selected by YARA International ASA from hundreds of applicants all over the world, to be one of their 10 chosen projects that “has the potential to change the world” and introduced at XYNTEO Exchange Conference in Oslo, 2018 for the international audience.
