WATAD Association is a trusted Lebanese NGO based in Tripoli, dedicated to improving community resilience through two core sectors: essential Healthcare and Livelihood support. Operating in one of the most vulnerable urban areas in the Middle East, WATAD addresses the widening gaps caused by Lebanon’s economic collapse, weakened public institutions, and declining access to basic services. Our healthcare interventions focus on providing accessible, affordable, and quality primary healthcare for vulnerable populations, including women, children, and low-income households. Through community-based programs and our medical services, we support preventive care, chronic disease management, reproductive health, and health awareness aligned with national and global health priorities. In parallel, WATAD strengthens economic resilience by improving access to income-generating opportunities, supporting household productivity, and enabling families to meet essential needs. Our livelihood programs aim to reduce dependency, enhance self-reliance, and promote sustainable community stability. WATAD is recognized by partners for its integrity, transparency, and strong local engagement. With deep community trust, a skilled team, and strong operational systems, we serve as a reliable implementing partner for international donors seeking impactful, accountable, and scalable interventions. While our work is currently centered in Tripoli, WATAD is actively preparing to expand its expertise into Syria, responding to the significant unmet needs in healthcare and livelihoods. Our planned expansion aims to replicate effective models, collaborate with local actors, and strengthen resilience among crisis-affected communities. Rooted in humanitarian values and guided by accountability and inclusion, WATAD remains committed to building healthier, more resilient, and economically empowered communities across Lebanon and the region.
