Founded in 1986 in response to the lack of services for high-risk, street-involved youth in Vancouver, Watari has since expanded its mission to support a wide range of individuals and groups in the downtown eastside and surrounding communities.Watari provides a variety of programs and services aimed at supporting the community. At the heart of Watari's mission is the belief that diversity is integral to a caring community.
