From our different past careers, we all ran into the same thing - vendors that purely want to sell something. They would build things based on what was easy for them, not what was useful and fitting for the client. Sales was forefront and often oversold. Technical resources were often as confused as we were with what we were told. Having been the clients ourselves, seeing questionable business practices, we quickly began to realize that every time we had to deal with a vendor, all we could do was sigh. Our slogan was born - first out of a joking attitude, and then a sad one:"When all you can do is sigh." Thus, began a desire to make a difference in the technology vendor space, and the WAYCDIS acronym became real.
