Wcs Indonesia

The WCS Indonesia Program is one of the largest WCS programs globally with more than 200 full-time staff. WCS has worked in Indonesia since initial field surveys in the 1960s, and opened a formal country program in 1997 under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF). Under this MoU, WCS conducts applied conservation research and supports conservation projects in collaboration with a range of government partners, including MoEF, Indonesian National Police, Attorney General’s Office, Supreme Court, the Indonesian Transaction Reports and Financial Analysis Centre, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF), civil society organizations and national/international universities.
