We Can Worldwide is a team of development specialists, dedicated to assist communities confronting food, health, financial, climate and energy crises, with a focus on their social, economic and natural environment. We were established in 2011, are based in the Washington DC area and work worldwide. Our Vision: We believe in resilient and inclusive communities, towns, cities and regions directing their own social, economic and environmental futures, based on the principles of natural ecosystems and social justice. Our Objectives: To help people, communities, and their localities to become more self-reliant in their local economy, to meet their needs in food, products, energy, health, shelter and basic services. Our Approach: Design and Planning for Social Change. We work in participation with communities to assist them to analyse their situation and identify requirements; we undertake supportive actions such as training, information, networking with other communities and the private sector, jointly identifying and developing economic, social and infrastructure projects, and providing assistance in negotiating legal, regulatory and funding requirements with governments and financial institutions
