We Care Charity

The idea of service has always been close to my heart. In 2012, I decided to call local soup kitchens to lend a hand. To my dismay, I was met with rejection as soup kitchens claimed they were simply “all set.” I persisted, and a few months later, I received an invitation from the Nashua Soup Kitchen to cook and serve their Saturday dinner. My family and friends pitched in, and together we served our first meal to 200 people. The rest is history! Today, We Care Charity is a 501 C(3) non-profit with many volunteers, and a lot of heart. Our four branches of service touch both my homes- USA and India: 1. Soup Kitchens & Shelters: We cook and serve meals a month between NH and MA. In addition, I take food in the trunk of my car and serve those folks on the streets in Lowell, and Manchester, NH who do not receive shelter. We believe, food is a basic necessity for all and no one should go hungry. Food Pantry: We have our own food pantry in Salem, NH. We are open on Tuesdays and also open on an emergency basis for individuals and families. We receive food from USDA, Manchester Food Bank, individuals, and companies. For our homeless folks, on the streets in summer, we donate T-Shirts and in the winter we donate hoodies, blankets, coats, sweaters, scarfs, hats, and mittens. Along the same lines, we donate shampoo, conditioner, and basic hygiene products. We do this directly on the streets while we are feeding them. We have also shipped pounds of gently used clothing to various parts of India. Food for Education: We provide grains for 45 impoverished families in India, enabling children to attend class instead of working or begging for food. My husband and I have built this non-profit from the ground up; it’s truly a grassroots effort. We wouldn’t be where we are without your continued love and support. We’re always looking for financial assistance and volunteers, which are both crucial to our growth and success.
