We Strive For Literacy

We Strive for Literacy (WSFL) is a pending nonprofit committed to transforming literacy outcomes for students who need it most. Through partnerships with community centers, universities, and schools, we deliver high-dosage, evidence-based instruction—ensuring all children, regardless of background, have the opportunity to become confident, capable readers and writers. Our programs include: Community-Based Literacy Tutoring (Grades 2–8) College Tutor Pipeline (via Federal Work Study) Powered by Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction™ (EBLI®) District & School-Based Support Services We equip pre-service educators, volunteers, and community members with the tools to teach reading effectively—scaling impact and closing the literacy gap. Our model combines compassion, data-driven practice, and systemic partnerships to create measurable change. Literacy is a justice issue—and we’re on a mission to solve it.
