Nearly half of us love someone struggling with substance use or addiction, and mental health professionals are increasingly recognizing the positive role family members can play in a loved one’s recovery - if only they had the skills to help. We The Village exists to ensure every professional & every family faced with addiction has the proven skills & support to fight it. By training professionals or directly working with just one family member, we can change everything. Our approach is inspired by & developed in collaboration with Dr. Robert J. Meyers, creator of the leading evidence-based family method Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT). We have developed effective online programs that compliment our uniquely expert team in training professionals & families to face addiction and get through recovery together. And we have the data to prove it! In 2024, we completed a Full-Scale Randomized Clinical Trial funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) & proved the efficacy of our online family program in treatment entry & improved family functioning. As a result, we offer the ONLY comprehensive & scientifically tested online CRAFT program. We found that 69% of those completing the program were able to convince their addicted loved one to accept treatment within 3 months! The clinical trial also found that 67% of the people who learned CRAFT felt less depressed, 73% felt less angry & 75% had an improved relationship with their addicted loved one.
