At WELCH architecture, our goal is to create architecture appropriate to the times in which we live now and will live in the future. Inspiration is drawn from modern architecture of the last century. Regional materials, local climate, and surrounding context are fundamental to each project. Honesty of materials, clarity of form, and appreciation of natural light are key to each design. Our hope is that the architecture we are creating today may someday be worthy of restoration by future generations. Our firm is small and specialized, allowing us to give each project the attention it deserves. The core of our work is modern residential architecture. Quality of materials, workmanship and construction are key to each of our homes regardless of scale. Cliff Welch, FAIA, is a Dallas-based architect whose work has been honored at local and national levels and is characterized by a richness of detail, materiality, craftsmanship, and artful composition, and is rooted in classic modernism.
