Welcomaps

Welcomaps, synthesis of words "Welcome" and "Maps", is a project for online geolocalization of migrants reception and integration best practices. The project, started from #immigrationstartup post on Facebook Italian Startup Scene group, is carried out by a handful of visionaries eager to realize something concrete on the matter. We organize the first meeting at the Bistrot, a restaurant of the Milan Central station. A random choice? Maybe, but also a symbolic one. The railway station is the crossroad of travelers from all over the world. All of us, World explorers and navigators of the Web, are looking for beautiful stories about reception of refugees and asylum seekers. Every week we post on Facebook these stories but only with you Welcomaps will be a great and remarkable project.
