At Welkom-U, we focus on improving the experience of immigrants to Canada so that they can become contributing members of society in a shorter time frame. We foster economic growth and innovation in businesses by linking these businesses to people who are planning to immigrate. We aim to solve settlement-related problems such as accommodation constraints, currency exchange, social isolation, inadequate preparation for climate and weather, and challenges in securing a legal income channel or job upon arrival. We also aim to improve the experience for international students who have a difficult time adapting to their new environments. Our application will be accessible anywhere and anytime to provide up to date information and business links for locations in Canada for potential immigrants. The application will also help municipal, provincial and federal governments meet their immigration goals by improving the experience of new arrivals so that they settle quickly to become productive contributing members of the Canadian economy and social network.
