Well Project

Western Excellence in Learning and Leadership (WELL) is an evidence informed, transformational education project, made possible through Sellafield Ltd, NDA and the commitment of schools across West Cumberland. Our aim is to sustainably improve educational outcomes for all young people in West Cumbria, particularly those facing disadvantage and we will achieve this through providing expert inputs on- Compelling professional development - Teacher development, targeted interventions, and wider strategies - Developing evidence informed practice and school improvement - Building local capacity, promoting pupil wellbeing resilience and readiness to learn WELL works with a range of partners with a shared passion to secure and sustain a centre of excellence in WELL education in the West of Cumbria.
